When Trueways needed an extra Mountain Leader, we set out to get the best one we could find.

Joe Begley (BSc, MSc, MTA, AMI) has enjoyed the outdoors since he was 14. In the last 40 years it has taken him all over the world, throughout the seasons, to walk, scramble and climb. Joe is professional and highly motivated in everything he does, he is passionate about getting people out there, introducing people of all ages and abilities to the mountains and helping you to fulfil their personal ambitions. He is a highly experienced and professionally qualified mountaineer and in addition, is a member of the Mountain Rescue Team (OVMRT).
