Chalky White

With 24 years military experience Paul ‘Chalky’ White comes to us from the Defence Survive Evade Resist Extract (SERE) Training Organisation at RAF St Mawgan where he spent 6 years as a Subject Matter Expert in all areas of survival training. Primarily Chalky has been a delivering survival training to specialist elements of the British armed forces including basic survival, advanced level C and sea survival. Chalky has achieved recognition for his skills becoming a SERE mentor; responsible for training military survival instructors and has conducted environmental survival training in temperate, coastal, desert, mountainous and extreme cold weather regions.

  • North Wind restraint defeat and escape trainer 
  • Fast jet/Rotary/Multi engine - conversion to aircraft type courses including all associated survival equipment 
  • Conducting Sea and land survival training, basic to advanced level 
  • Commando trained 
  • 29 Commandos Training Team Instructor 1997-1999 
  • Range Management Qualification 
  • Served operationally: Gulf War 1991, Sierra Leone 2002, Afghanistan 2003, Iraq 2005

 

Chalky has been interested in the outdoors and survival throughout his lifetime. His time in the army gave him a wealth of survival knowledge and travel opportunities. From the jungles of Brunei and Sierra Leone to the inhospitable deserts of the Middle East and Nevada in the US along with the frozen tundra’s of Norway. He has a passion for teaching survival and nurturing those new to the subject.
